TDS Meter

TDS Meter (Total Dissolved Solids)

A TDS Meter is a handheld meter designed to measure the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in a liquid. Digital TDS meter works by passing a small current through 2 electrodes and measuring the resistance between the 2 electrodes. Inside the TDS Meter, a microprocessor will calculate the TDS level according to a preset algorithm and display the TDS level on a LCD Display.

Total Dissolved Solids can be salts, minerals, metals or other dissolved particles in your water. These minerals are added to the water when the rain is absorbed by the earth and the surrounding rocks give off their minerals to the water.

TDS Meter - Applications

TDS Meter measures TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) in PPM (Parts Per Million). Measuring TDS is a very important part of drinking water analysis, where a high TDS measurement indicates that the water is polluted and not suited for drinking.

TDS Meters are also used in agriculture, hydro culture, water-treatment, food, fish, farming and many more industries.
